Xiara kept an eye on the two Lamia in the recovery room. The Orc warrior paced as she waited, a restless engery animating her steps. Maradia moved slightly, her electronic eyes activating. Xiara tapped the comms, "Their waking up." She announced, and looked at them as the two began to stir.
Sacre was laid across three beds that had been lined up, they hadn't been sure what to do with such a long tail. Sacre briefly wondered if she was in the afterlife. She sat up, feeling where she had been hit, there were bandages and she could feel her body ache. <I'm not dead?> Sacre asked, in her hissing language confused.
Makoto enters the Medical Bay to check on their new guests as she heard the woman say they were waking up, and saw one indeed was awake. "No, we managed to get you away from the slaver slime. On behalf of the admins we apologize for the discomfort, admittedly we dont have any of your species as members so we had to do a little creative work."
Sacre's eyes narrowed at Makoto and Xiara. There was clearly intelligance behind her eyes, but she didn't understand what Makoto said very well, if at all.
The beds Maradia sat on creaked loudly under her heavy weight every time she shifted. She looked around, confused as to where she was. She was still plugged into the wall and machines by multiple wires, but there were less of them now and they were much longer. She quickly tried to get up, clearly straining the beds that weren't designed for her as she did. "ERROR CONNECTING TO TRANSLATION PROGRAM" she beeped automatically. <Where... where am I? ...why did I just say that?> she asked in the same hissing language, looking at her arms to see that whatever happened she was still in the same body. Her voice was more robotic, occasionally glitchy as well.
Sacre finally looked over to Maradia. She slid off the bed and over to her, giving her a hug. <I... I thought you were dead.> Sacre said, some tears forming on her face.
<I thought... I was D-D-D-*beep*-dead too...> Maradia said with a clear glitch interrupting her voice. Both the EMP damaging her circuitry and now being wired into a different computer had effected her implants, causing them to glitch more, on top of already being unreliable as they were.
Sacre touched Maradia, trying to calm her a bit. <I don't know what our new "sslaverss" want with us. but I swear, we will be free. and we'll find a way to get rid of this metal in your body.> Sacre reponded using the common word for slavers.
"I'm running what they said through a translation program found on the ship, but from what I can tell, it's pretty terrible." Xiara said, motioning at a monitor that displayed lines of text.
Makoto blinked as she listened to them talk. She seemed calm, but inside she was livid. She hated slavers, and had been pleased to have liberated everyone from them but she hated being called slavers. Sacre and Maradia would find a strange shadowy line that seemed to connect to their shadows with her own. When she spoke it was in their language, but some kind of shadow thing formed over her mouth. <"We arent slavers, and indeed, you are free. Our Tech Specialist is looking into something that could help her but it might take time.">
Sacre looked suspiciously at the shadow, she didn't like it, but she couldn't say why. <We aren't slaves?> Sacre asked, not sure she was able to believe this strange shadow manipulating person. That was mainly because she didn't trust anyone, not specifically the shadow weirdness.
<Why am I still connected to these things then?> Maradia metalically hissed, following her wires to where they went into computers and power sources.
The shadow disappeared from being connected with heirs. Now that she figured out their language, she didn’t need to be connected anymore. <“Indeed, you’re not slaves. Here, all work will be rewarded with payment, should you choose to work. But you will not be regarded as slaves. If someone refers you by that term here, let me know. I will set them straight”> she said before turning to Maradia. <“Unfortunately, They’ve discovered that at this time if you are unplugged you’ll lose power and it may harm you, possibly even kill you. They’re working on something that doesn’t require you to be plugged in constantly.”>
<"I am still trapped, then..."> Maradia sighed, drooping her messy pink-haired head.
Sacre's mouth set into a cold hard line, <I will get you out of this trap, whatever it takes.>
Makoto nodded her head <"Yes, you will be out soon enough, They are very intelligent when it comes to Technology. I promise you>
<I have spent a while like this. I'm-I'm-I'm "ERROR ERROR" used to it.> the cyborg Lamia remarked, glitching.
<Do you know how to fix this?> Sacre angrily asked Makoto.
Makoto didnt react to her anger negatively as she understood how she felt. <"We do have a blood demon on staff that can regenerate limbs. just need to remove her cybernetics, not sure what toll it will do to her though. Our Tech expert could change her Cybernetics to something more comfortable too if the first option fails.">
<You can-YOU CAN-YOU CAN-YOU CAN remove it? All of it?> Maradia asked excitedly, glitching and getting ahead of herself.
Sacre looked to Makoto, but there was still anger in her stare.
Makoto simply nods, unbothered by the angry look. <“Indeed, baring no curse the uncultured swine had placed that prevent them from being dealt with, you should be back to how you originally were. “> She said, taking note of the glitching that concerned her. She hoped that Sachiko and the other Engineers and Tarkus could help her get rid of the cybernetics. <” Once that’s dealt with, we can get you transport off station if you’d like, unless you two want to stay, if the latter is the case we’ll see if Elenor and Lucas, or Lucina depending have a free time to talk, and we’ll see about getting you both a proper paying job> She said really making sure to emphasis paying, to let them know they won’t be working for free but getting paid.
<I don't have anywhere to go. I should talk to them.> Sacre said to Maradia, her voice a bit softer than when she was talking to Makoto.
Maradia looked excited, happily beeping and unaware that removing her implants would be much much harder than it initially looked. <I can't wait,> she said, ready to follow Sacre until she looked back at the wires connecting her to the wall. <...I think I don't have anywhere to go right now, either,> she admitted.
Makoto nodded her head, while taking note of the softer tone of voice when speaking to Maradia than her. She had noted how excited Maradia seemed to be, and glanced at the wiring. The ancient ninja had remembered hearing how Maradia needed to be plugged in, and began wondering if that meant she was connected to the station systems. She tried to remember.
